The Lego Movie Blu-Ray Giveaway (CLOSED)

If you have kids, chances are that they love everything about LEGOS! I know David does, even at age 10. He has totes full of thousands of LEGO bricks and enjoys pulling them out to build all kinds of things. LEGOS rock!  Did your family see the LEGO movie earlier this year?   David saw it twice, and would have happily seen it again. It is a great movie that the whole family can enjoy together. We are so excited it is finally out for us to watch at home, since it was released on Blu-ray this week! It's an instant family classic.

Stone Mountain Park Lasershow & VIP Terrace Seating

Last weekend, David and I were invited to attend the new Lasershow at Stone Mountain and check out their VIP Terrace Seating. We were so excited to go – the Lasershow is always a blast!

Cheap Summer movie fun!

We love going to the movies, but it gets so expensive!  That's one of the many reasons I love summertime, when we can see some family-friendly movies for a great price.  So many theaters offer lower-priced tickets for families.  There used to be lots of free movies, but now the ones around here cost a little something.
Still, it beats full price!  Here are a few of the theaters participating in summer movie fun in 2014!

Tonight I'm making a few family favorites, but trying a new twist on some of them! I realized that I'm in that awful rut of making the same old stuff all the time, and it's past time to mix things up.

Atlanta Snowpocalypse

This year is flying by, and I can't believe I haven't posted here since the first of January! Well, you've likely seen the snow disaster that hit us late last month. Here on the NE side of town, we didn't get hit too hard, so we just stayed home and enjoyed it! Thought I'd share a few of our snow day memories:

So, HAPPY NEW YEAR, y'all!  I am so thrilled that 2014 is here!  I've got BIG plans for this year!

On New Year's Eve, we always have a fondue party for the family.  It has been a tradition for a few years now.  The kids have always enjoyed it, and I do too! This year, my husband and I were reminiscing about a favorite appetizer we have had at two Atlanta-area restaurants ~ warm, thick potato chips covered in a warmed up, blue cheese-dotted sauce.  It.is.divine!
